RRB Assistant Loco Pilot {ALP} / Technician Stage 1st CBT New Online Exam Pattern 2023

The First Stage CBT {Computer Based Test} is of screening nature and the standard of questions for the CBT will be generally in conformity with the educational standards and / or minimum technical qualifications like 10th standard prescribed for the posts.

Total 75 Questions will be asked in 1st First Stage RRB ALP exam from Mathematics, General Knowledge & Awareness, General Science 10th standard level and Reasoning & General Intelligence.

Time Duration for the Stage 1 Computer based online exam test is Sixty minutes means one hour.

Negative Marking in RRB ALP / Technician Stage 1 Exam 2023: There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers in First and Second Stage CBT. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer. There shall be no negative marking for Computer Based Aptitude Test.

RRB ALP Stage 2 Online Test CBT Exam Pattern 2023

Short listing of Candidates for the Second Stage CBT exam shall be based on the normalized marks obtained by them in the First Stage CBT Exam.

Total Duration: 2 hours and 30 Minutes (for Part A and Part B together)

Part A Pattern

Time Duration of Second Stage Exam: 90 Minutes {1:30 Hours}

No of Questions: 100 Questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering and General Awareness on Current Affairs.

Part B Pattern

Duration: 60 Min, No of Questions: 75 Qualifying Mark: 35 % (This is applicable to all candidates and no relaxation is permissible).

This part is qualifying in nature and shall have questions from the trade syllabus prescribed by Director General of Employment & Training (DGET). Candidates with ITI/Trade Apprenticeship qualification will be required to appear in the section having questions from the relevant trade.

RRB ALP Computer Based Aptitude Test Pattern 2023

Qualifying marks: The candidate needs to secure a minimum score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to
qualify. This is applicable to all candidates and no relaxation is permissible.
Candidates equal to 8 times number of ALP vacancies for each of the communities i.e. UR, OBC-NCL, SC and ST
(including ExSM) shall be short listed for Computer Based AT (based on their performance in Part Aof the Second Stage CBT subject to their qualifying the Part B of Second Stage CBT) from among the candidates who have opted for the post of ALP. Such shortlisted candidates should produce the Vision Certificate in the prescribed format as per Annexure – VI in original during Computer Based AT, failing which they will not be permitted to appear in the Computer Based AT.
Candidates will have to qualify in each of the test battery of Computer Based AT for considering them for the post of ALP. The Computer Based Aptitude Test shall have questions and answer options only in English and Hindi. There shall be no negative marking in Computer Based AT.
The ALP merit list will be drawn only from amongst the candidates qualifying in the Aptitude Test, with 70% weightage for the marks obtained in the Part A of Second Stage CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in Computer Based
AT.
